“What happened to your eyebrow?” Scarlett asks Gray leaning in to get a better look and he swats her away.

“Knock it off.” He lifts his beer and takes another drink, looking at me from across the table where I’m hiding behind my glass. Every single time I see him the memory of last night flashes in my mind.

Us sitting on the couch watching a movie, his arm around my shoulders as I snuggle into his side. Tori lingering in the kitchen, planning her next form of attack. I know her far too well to think she’d let him painting her face with blue paint slide.

“Did your razor slip?” Scarlett asks, pulling me out of my thoughts and there is no way to keep the laughter at bay. She looks at me, I look at Gray and the second his half-shaven brow lifts I lose it.

“You did it?” she asks and because I can’t form words I start shaking my head.

“She says that she had nothing to do with it, but I’m not quite sure I’m buying the story,” Gray tells his cousin.

Okay so I may have sat quietly on the couch and watched my sister take her electric razor and run it over his eyebrow. And though I tried so hard not to make him aware once he sat up and looked at me, I practically fell off the couch laughing.

“I told you that you’d lose the war.”

“No, I lost an eyebrow,” he says so seriously that I have to hold my side it hurts so badly from the continuous laughter. I can’t see through the tears. Others around me are making comments, and the only thing I’m doing is trying not to snort.

Suddenly my feet leave the floor and I’m tossed over Grayson’s shoulder as he carries me toward the front door.

“Where ya going?” someone hollers out.

“Be back,” he assures them before slapping my ass. “Me and this one need to have a little talk.”
